that was a good drum break

Beck was amazing. He had large-and-in-charge band with him that knew how to kick it. There was a ton of instrumentation, including an extra half of a drum kit on stage that random members would jump on and off. If you didn’t know, one of the most fun things a non-drummer musician can do is to jump on a kit for a bit and kick it. Ever since I’ve felt like I hit a plateau on guitar (good enough to kick it on easy music, not good enough to play real music), I’ve been wanting to play more drums. Anyway, the best part of the night was right before the encore. The puppets from the puppet show that mimics his every move behind him while he plays went out in the Journal Square area (White Castle, St. John’s Church, PATH Station, Lowe’s Theater, etc.) and filmed a video montage. The soundtrack for the video was none other than Bon Jovi. Every band in the world makes Bon Jovi references when you mention NJ. What about Frank Sinatra? He was born in Hoboken just 3 stops away. Here’s some video taken with my really-hopefully-soon-to-be-upgraded Canon 3MP camera.
